Guests Are Welcome At Lake Edun

The Lake Edun Foundation welcomes visitors and guests, whether you are a first-timer or a veteran naturist/nudist.  We are a family friendly community that wants everyone here to feel comfortable in their own skin.  We realize there are many locations where we and our friends may fish or tend a small garden; however, Lake Edun is one of the few where members may engage in these activities “naturally”.  If you are shy but want to check out our special place, we have plenty of private places on our acreage to get started or you can simply walk the trails.  If you are the social type, you can head directly to one of our beaches.

Daily passes and annual memberships are available. As a part of your membership, you may bring as many as three guests who have never been to Lake Edun each time you visit. We hope your guests enjoy their experience and choose to come back a second time. If they want to return, they should either join or utilize our day pass alternative. No individual may visit more than once as a guest.

Guest Information and Contact Info

For safety and security we require all visitors and guests to register at the barn each time they come to Lake Edun.
During your initial visit to Lake Edun, you will be required to complete a Guest Information form. This form includes name, address, phone number, email address, date of birth and license information. All information must be completed for admittance to the lake. This information will NOT be available to anyone except Lake Edun Foundation Board Members. Email addresses will be used for inclusion in our weekly email, unless you choose to opt out.

Dress Code

We do require those who visit our special place to do so in the nude. Everyone is expected to disrobe after check-in. All members, non-members and guests are expected to remain nude while on Lake Edun grounds unless there are logical reasons for being otherwise, i.e. weather, working, etc. Lockers are available on the south side of the barn to store your belongings, if needed. You must provide your own padlock.

We do have a first visit exception and that is if one member of a couple gets nude, the other may remain clothed on your first visit.

Become a member of the Lake Edun Foundation!

Enjoy the freedom that nature intended.

Privacy

The naturist custom of individual privacy will be preserved. The public use of first names only will be followed, unless individuals choose to volunteer information about themselves. This is an established ground rule and is practiced throughout the naturist community.

Children

Children under the age of 18 are allowed to enter the grounds only if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

The dress code for children is clothing-optional at the child’s option.

Help Maintain Paradise

Lake Edun is a family orientated agricultural facility leased by the Lake Edun Foundation. Discussion, deportment and actions should be the same at Lake Edun as would be the case at any fine, public location.

At all Lake Edun Foundation activities, we draw a firm line between nudity and sex. People are nude far more often for bathing than for sex. If nudity is associated with anything, it should be with cleanliness. Your board recognizes sex as a healthy, joyous, and intimate part of life. Without intimacy, most of its value is lost. Therefore, sex is inappropriate in any public place, especially at Lake Edun Foundation activities.

We want to provide an atmosphere where families may teach their children to be pure in mind and body. Because we look after an agricultural area, we are also concerned about the environment. This makes the conduct of each visitor and guest important. All Eduners must help enforce appropriate standards of conduct, especially when it comes to visitors and guests.

Many who have not experienced the joys we take for granted are looking for a reason and way to attack us and take away this freedom we enjoy. It is important that we respect these simple standards of conduct.

Jewelry and Body Piercing

Members of the Lake Edun Foundation are interested in promoting body acceptance. Jewelry and body piercing is done to draw attention to ourselves; earrings, for example, are worn to frame one’s face. Since the cornerstone of body acceptance is the ability to be happy with the body nature or our God gave us, it should be unnecessary to enhance this gift. Enhancing one’s genitals with jewelry or piercing of the genital area does not serve to further our goal of body acceptance. Therefore, members, visitors and guests may not wear piercing below the waist, genital jewelry, or sexually suggestive clothing while visit our special place.

Offensive Behavior

Discussion, deportment and actions should be the same at Lake Edun as would be the case at any fine, public location. We want to provide an atmosphere where families may raise their children with wonderful memories and teach them the benefits of living a clothing-free lifestyle.

All laws and ordinances that apply elsewhere in Shawnee County apply here. Specifically, any violation of any Federal, State or County law or ordinance including any overt sexual acts or use of any illegal drugs will not be tolerated at Lake Edun or any Lake Edun Foundation activities.

Activity of a sexual nature is not allowed in public areas. Likewise, public discussions about sex, off-color jokes, and other, similar comments that would not be appropriate at a fine country club are not appropriate here.

While we realize some of our members, visitors and guests enjoy alcoholic consumption from time-to-time, excessive use of alcohol resulting in loud or obnoxious behavior will not be tolerated.

Litter, Cans and Glass

Trash, including cigarette butts, must be deposited in the containers provided. Aluminum cans are to be crushed and deposited in the appropriate containers for recycling. Due to the risk of injuries resulting from broken glass on our beaches or trails, glass is prohibited everywhere on the premises.

Photography or Videography is Not Permitted

Given society’s misconception of Naturism, some believe their personal or professional life may be harmed if their support of our lifestyle were made public. In addition, we wish to ensure all visitors to any Foundation activity enjoys their privacy. Therefore, we do not permit any cameras at any Foundation activity without prior permission. Persons with management approval will be identified with a wrist band or other such means. If you need to stay connected with the outside world through your cell phone or laptop during your visit, please keep the camera portion of your phone, front and back, covered with stickers provided at the Barn.

Pets

We understand that many of our friends and supporters have pets who would find our special place as much of a playground as we do. However, not all visitors will enjoy the pets of others. In addition, our special place is also home to many wild animals who may not be pet-friendly or may be harmed by our pets. In addition, our pets often leave droppings that would make it necessary for visitors to wear shoes. Therefore, we do not permit pets at our facility.

Read and Understand

The Lake Edun Foundation strives to provide a healthy, pleasant, family oriented, clothing-free experience for all its members. At the same time, we wish to keep expenses low so our membership rates are as low as possible. Therefore, it is important that each member help us reach our family-oriented goal. Specifically, any violation of any Federal, State or County law or ordinance including any overt sexual acts or use of any illegal drugs will not be tolerated at Lake Edun or any Lake Edun Foundation activities.

The Perfect Wedding Present

Weddings are a special time. We have all been invited by friends to their wedding. And we go, bearing gifts. It is easy to spend $50.00 or much more for a friend’s gift. Now, there is a way to help members reduce this cost: Give a one year membership to the Lake Edun Foundation.

This is FREE for any member to give to anyone whose wedding they have been invited to. The only stipulation is that the newly-wed couple must not have visited Lake Edun in the year prior to their wedding. Keep this option in mind next time you are asked to give a wedding present. What can be more appropriate? Give a present the newly weds will remember (and talk about) long after the celebration has ended.
