Welcome to the Lake Edun Blog!

Sheri

My name is Sheri, and I am the current Board President for the Lake Edun Foundation. Thank you for joining us as we venture further into the social media world and attempt our first blog.

Our intent in establishing a blog is to add another venue to share with you the world of Lake Edun and its members. Over the next couple of months, we will be showcasing “first time visit” or “favorite naturist adventure” stories of our members, visitors, and board members, along with other articles and pieces we find of interest. We will even be exploring past issues of Lake Edun’s Bare Facts newsletter and posting some of those stories. We hope that in sharing our stories, our visitors and members will become comfortable enough to share theirs. Above all else, we want you to feel welcome at Lake Edun. We hope our stories and articles inspire you to visit and explore the natural environment Lake Edun offers.

For those of you that have yet to visit Lake Edun, we have 65 acres of undeveloped land, including a 10- acre lake with a sandy beach (soon to be two beaches) and maintained trails. When you walk down the trails from the parking lot to the barn (our only structure), you will feel like you are leaving the “real world” behind and entering a place of peace and solitude; a place where you can choose to socialize with other members or simply lay on the beach with the low murmur of voices in the background; a place where you can wander through the trails and trees, enjoying the sounds of nature and the feel of the sun and the breeze on your body, or take a swim in the lake and enjoy the feel of the water against your skin. For the more social members, we are adding a few more events this season: our first annual Edun Fest, kayak/paddle board floats (floating and light paddling only), our 2nd annual wine tasting, women’s only events, and half-price afternoons for Veterans. To provide us all with the opportunity to “get back to our roots,” we are also developing a plan to implement a Mayan garden, plant some hazelnut trees, and become honey producers with our own Lake Edun beehives. Our hope, of course, is that as we add more events and more members become involved, we will have more members volunteering and willing to host even more events–a unique piece of the “circle of life.” From the quiet of our trails or a weekday visit to one of our beaches, to the more social Saturday afternoon crowd or a scheduled event, we hope you visit and find something special at Lake Edun and enjoy it as much as we do.

Thank you again for joining us on our journey. May you find the following stories and articles entertaining and may they bring a smile to your lips and a few laughs to your day. If you would like to contribute to our blog, please send your contribution to our email address at info@lakeedun.com.
